I recently visited Nối – Lê Lợi coffee shop in the Hải Châu district of Đà Nẵng and was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience.
Nối – Lê Lợi
This is the second location of the popular Nối Café, originally based on Nguyễn Chí Thanh Street. Like the original, it carries a strong retro vibe, with French-inspired décor and a wide range of historical artefacts and posters scattered throughout the space.
However, I personally favour this location due to the abundance of greenery and open space planning which gives it a more chilled out vibe. Due to the place being tucked away on a quiet street, it’s less busy than the first location which is an added bonus.
Now, if you have visited Vietnam then you will be well aware of the strong coffee culture and this is no different in Da Nang City, where there is an abundance of great cafes. Nối – Lê Lợi is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a unique cafe with a relaxing and cozy vibe.
Where is Nối – Lê Lợi coffee?
Nối – Lê Lợi is located on. Yes, you guessed it Lê Lợi street, which is pretty central in Hải Châu district, just a short distance from the Han River Bridge. Currently as I write this article there is significant construction taking place along Lê Lợi street and in front of the cafe. Try not let this put you off, because after entering you will find yourself a million miles away from the hectic streets and noisy traffic.
Getting to Nối – Lê Lợi coffee
Drive down Lê Lợi street and look out for the distinctive green gates, I will admit it can be slightly difficult to find due to the extensive road works that are currently taking place. If you are planning on taking your motorbike to the cafe, there is plenty of parking opposite with a ‘guard’ keeping an eye of the bikes.
Atmosphere and aesthetics
To say that this coffee shop is Instagramable would be an understatement. There are so many cool rooms to explore, it feels a bit like walking around an old house or museum at times. I think you could spend all day looking at everything here.
Along with the cool rooms there are plenty of nice spots to sit at on the balcony looking over the courtyard. I would note that there are a lot of fans spread around the place, but there is no air-conditioned rooms, which would normally be a let down, but in reality I think it might ruin the vibe of the place. If you sit at the courtyard there is a nice natural breeze.
Who is this coffee shop for?
Nối – Lê Lợi is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing and laid back place where they can sit down and escape the chaos of Da Nang. I wouldn’t exactly recommend working here as there aren’t many suitable work areas, so this is more of a place to visit on your own or with friends. I would also say that it makes a great place to go on a date. Vietnamese girls love going for coffee and this place might actually impress your date.

Nối – Lê Lợi Coffee is a standout café in Đà Nẵng, offering something a little different from the typical modern coffee spots around the city. Its unique retro design, greenery, and peaceful atmosphere makes it a great place to check out on your own or with a partner.
